Moana reunites with Maui and assembles a wayfinding crew to find the lost island of Motufetu, break its curse, and reconnect the people of the ocean. Set three years after the first film, Moana follows the path of a comet across the ocean towards Motufetu, accompanied by her pet pig and rooster, Pua and Heihei, along with craftswoman Loto, historian Moni, grumpy elderly farmer Kele, and Maui's enforcer Matangi. With the help of Maui, Moana faces off against Nalo, a powerful storm god who has sunk Motufetu to ensure his power over mortals, in a quest that will decide the fate of her people and the ocean itself.
