Rachel House is a New Zealand actress and director born on October 20, 1971, to adoptive Scottish parents in Auckland. She graduated from Toi Whakaari drama school and began her career on stage with Pacific Underground Theatre and the Auckland Theatre Company. Notable roles include Whale Rider (2002) and Taika Waititi's films, for which she has received numerous accolades including an Arts Laureate and NZ Order of Merit.
