They Came to a City

Nine people from different walks of life mysteriously find themselves at the gate of an unknown city, where they are offered a chance to live in an "ideal" society that appears to be a utopia. The film depicts their varied experiences and emotions as they grapple with the opportunity to leave behind their old lives for a new beginning, reflecting different social and economic backgrounds. As they deliberate on whether to accept or reject the offer, the story is framed by a narrator who shares his tale of how people might live after the war, if presented with the chance to live in a utopia.
