Carole Bouquet stars as Mystère, a high-class French prostitute who becomes embroiled in a complex international thriller when she unwittingly possesses a cigarette lighter containing the negatives of a politician's assassination. As she navigates the intrigue, Mystère forms a subtle understanding with Inspector Colt (notably played by John Steiner), and together they unravel a web of deception and betrayal that spans Europe and culminates in a romantic escape to Hong Kong.
