The Taste of Others

Jean-Jacques Castella (Jean-Pierre Bacri) is an ultra-pragmatic industrialist who reluctantly attends a theatre performance of Racine's tragedy "Bérénice" to see his niece play. He becomes infatuated with the lead actress Clara Devaux (Anne Alvaro), whom he had previously hired as an English language tutor, and they begin taking language lessons together. As their relationship develops, Castella must navigate his own cultural ignorance and roughness, while Clara grapples with her fear of never working again at age 40.
