It's a Wonderful Afterlife

This dark comedy follows Mrs Sethi, a widow from Southall who becomes obsessed with marrying off her plump and opinionated daughter, Roopi. Desperate to find a husband for her daughter, Mrs Sethi takes matters into her own hands, using Indian cooking methods to dispose of the failed dates. The spirits of her victims return as ghosts, unable to reincarnate until their murderer dies, forcing Mrs Sethi to reconsider her actions and work with Roopi to find a suitable partner before it's too late, all set against the backdrop of life amongst the Asian community in west London.
