George Takes the Air

George Brown (George Formby) dreams of joining the Royal Air Force after being rejected as an air-raid warden, and he takes a chance by delivering important papers to a nearby RAF station. Mistaken for a despatch rider, George stays at the base and falls in love with the Sergeant Major's daughter Peggy (Polly Ward), but his true identity is eventually revealed, leading to comedic misunderstandings. During an annual inspection, George attempts to escape but ends up landing a plane, impressing the inspector and securing his place as a flyer in the RAF.
