Arthur Michael Shepley-Smith, known professionally as Michael Shepley, was a British actor born in Plymouth, Devon on September 29, 1907. He began his acting career with a screen debut in the 1931 film Black Coffee and went on to appear in over sixty films, including "Murder on Monday" (1952) and "The Triumph of Sherlock Holmes" (1935). His notable television role was as Inspector Stark in the 1957 series "Dick and the Duchess".
