In a post-apocalyptic Australia ravaged by a deadly virus, Andy Rose (Martin Freeman) must find a safe haven for his baby daughter Rosie after being infected himself. As he navigates this treacherous new world, he meets Thoomi (Simone Landers), a young Aboriginal girl who is hiding her bitten father Willie (David Gulpilil). Together, they face numerous dangers and encounter Vic (Anthony Hayes), the owner of a fortified shelter that uses healthy humans as bait to lure out infected ones.
