In "Woman's World" (1954), three couples are invited to New York City by auto industry mogul Ernest Gifford to assess their suitability for a top job at his company. Bill and Katie Baxter, a loving Kansas City couple, are joined by Elizabeth Burns, who is torn between her driven husband Sid, whose career success threatens his health, and Jerry Talbot, whose sexy and ambitious wife Carol tries to influence his decisions. Meanwhile, Gifford evaluates the couples' wives - including June Allyson as the down-to-earth Katie Baxter, Lauren Bacall as the poised Elizabeth Burns, Arlene Dahl as the flirtatious Carol Talbot, and Cornell Wilde as the good-natured Bill Baxter - in a competition that will determine who is best suited to marry Gifford's chosen successor.
