Fred MacMurray
Biography
Fred MacMurray was born on August 30, 1908, in Kankakee, Illinois, to a musical family. He grew up in small-town Wisconsin, where he excelled in sports and eventually began his career playing with orchestras before joining the California Collegians comedy stage band. His breakthrough came when he was signed by Paramount in 1935, marking the beginning of a nearly half-century-long acting career that spanned film noir classics like Double Indemnity to beloved Disney movies and TV's My Three Sons.
