The Far Horizons

In 1803, the United States Congress approves the Louisiana Purchase from France, leading to an expedition to explore beyond the newly claimed land to the Pacific Ocean. Meriwether Lewis, accompanied by Lt. William Clark, sets out on the journey, facing challenges along the way. Donna Reed plays Sacagawea, a Shoshone woman who joins the expedition and becomes a guide for Lewis and Clark. The film follows their journey, including encounters with Native American tribes, romance, and adventure, as they venture into the unknown.
