Suspect

A Supreme Court judge commits suicide and his secretary is found murdered, pointing fingers at Carl Wayne Anderson, a deaf-mute homeless veteran accused of the crime. Public defender Kathleen Riley (Cher) teams up with juror Eddie Sanger (Dennis Quaid), who agrees that Anderson may be innocent, as they start their own investigation into the events.
