"The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus" is a 1996 concert film featuring the Rolling Stones and some of rock music's biggest stars, including The Who, Jethro Tull, Marianne Faithfull, and John Lennon's supergroup The Dirty Mac. Filmed in 1968 on a makeshift circus stage, the project was conceived by Mick Jagger as a way to promote their album Beggars Banquet, but ultimately never aired due to the band's exhaustion and disappointment with their performance. Instead, it languished in obscurity until its release in 1996, now offering a unique glimpse into one of rock music's most fascinating moments.
