The Yakuza

Retired detective Harry Kilmer (Robert Mitchum) is called by his old friend George Tanner to rescue Louise, his daughter kidnapped by Tono, a high-ranking Yakuza gangster. Kilmer visits his old flame Eiko at her bar, "Kilmer House," where he also reconnects with her daughter Hanako and learns that Ken, an old military buddy, is involved in the kidnapping. As Kilmer searches for Ken, he navigates the complex web of yakuza loyalty and honor, leading to a confrontation with Tono and ultimately Kilmer's own obligation to Ken.
