Scenes from a Mall

A married couple, Nick (Woody Allen) and Deborah (Bette Midler), celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary at a mall, revealing startling confessions that shake the foundation of their marriage. As they confront each other about infidelity, the film features a series of gaudy set designs and over-the-top production. The chemistry between the lead actors is somewhat undermined by the arbitrary and unrealistic emotional reactions of the characters.
