In this charming 1953 musical romance, a self-absorbed Broadway star named Lisa is on her birthday when she's unexpectedly visited by Rick Belrow Livingston, a man who's been sentenced to jail for speeding through a small town en route to elope with Lisa - despite never having actually met her before. After spending one night out on the town with him, the judge's daughter Cindy falls in love with him, but her family has other plans, including a arranged marriage to his son. The film features memorable song performances by Nat King Cole and Busby Berkeley choreographed several dance numbers, including Bobby Van's show-stopping "Street Dance".
