The Frogmen

Lt. Cmdr. John Lawrence (Richard Widmark) is given charge of Underwater Demolition Team 4 after its former leader's death in action, and must earn the respect of the men in his unit, who are still grieving over the loss of their commander and resentful of the new one. The team's members, led by Chief Jake Flannigan (Dana Andrews), are distrustful of Lawrence and he must win them over as they prepare for a crucial mission to locate a safe landing beach for an upcoming invasion of a Japanese-held island.
