The Telephone Box

In this haunting 35-minute short film, a man becomes trapped inside a telephone box in Spain, 1972, with nary a soul able to free him. As passersby gather to watch his desperate struggles, the camera pans out to reveal a eerie landscape of Spanish streets and a seemingly indifferent world. Eventually, the phone booth is carted away to an underground warehouse, where it becomes part of a ghastly assemblage of other trapped souls, each one more tragic than the last. Will our protagonist escape, or is he doomed to join the silent chorus of those who came before?
