José Luis López Vázquez was a prolific Spanish actor, comedian, and designer whose career spanned nearly seven decades. Born in Madrid in 1922 to working-class parents, he began his career on stage as a costume designer before transitioning to film in the mid-1940s. He rose to fame with comedic roles during the Franco era, later demonstrating his range in dramatic performances, starring in over 200 films between 1946 and 2007.
