Casey's Shadow

Young Casey comes from a family of racehorse trainers, and his best friend, a foal called Casey's Shadow, may just be a champion. Lloyd Bourdelle (Walter Matthau), a down-on-his-luck horse trainer, dreams of winning the All American Futurity with his son Casey's Shadow. After various misadventures and setbacks, including a poisoned rival horse and a injured leg, Casey's Shadow ultimately wins the race. With the help of his father Lloyd, Casey's Shadow recovers from his injury and becomes a champion.
