Whit Bissell

Biography

Whit Bissell was a character actor born in New York City on October 25, 1909, to a surgeon father and educated at the Dalton School. He trained with the Carolina Playmakers and began his career in Broadway theatre before transitioning to film and television. Notable roles include Sen. John Conness in "The Lincoln Conspiracy" (1977) and Dr. Williamson in "Casey's Shadow" (1978).
