The Piper

In the 1950s after the Korean War, a gentle wandering piper named Woo-ryong and his sick young son Young-nam stumble upon a remote village plagued by an infestation of rats that do not fear humans. As Woo-ryong volunteers to get rid of the rats in exchange for payment, he begins to unravel a sinister plot by the village chief and his son to maintain control over the villagers. The piper's ultimate revenge leads to a devastating climax that leaves only the children alive, forcing Woo-ryong to confront the dark fate that has befallen him and those he loves.
