Set in North England's seventies working class society and music scene, "Slade in Flame" chronicles the rise and demise of rock band Flame, a fictitious group picked up by a marketing company and taken to the top, only to break up at their zenith. With double-dealings and harsh unforgiving dog eat dog mentalities, the film parodies realism and grit as it charts the history of Flame's swift ascent and catastrophic downfall.
