Padurea de molizi

The Spruce Forest is based on the dark events of April 1, 1941, where a Romanian community in Bessarabia was massacred during the Soviet occupation. The film reconstructs this tragedy through the testimony of a survivor and his wife's memories of Siberia, questioning historical truth and revealing forgotten traumas with potentially devastating consequences in the present. Character Mircea Andreescu stars as the survivor whose story forms the backbone of the film.
