The Bride Came C.O.D.

James Cagney plays Steve Collins, a charter pilot hired by Bette Davis's character Joan Winfield to kidnap her and prevent her from marrying a band leader. They agree on a ransom of $10 per pound C.O.D, and after a series of misadventures, they become stranded together in the desert, forcing them to re-examine their lives and eventually get married with Joan's father's approval.
