The Devil Made a Woman

In 1808 Spain, Carmen is in love with two men at the same time, a guerrilla named Antonio and the French sergeant José. The men are sworn enemies due to their opposing sides during the Peninsular War. Sara Montiel stars as Carmen, opposite Jorge Mistral's Antonio, while Maurice Ronet plays the complex role of José. Against this backdrop of love, war, and betrayal, Carmen must navigate her feelings for both men in a world torn apart by conflict.
