Girgiriye

In the 1981 comedy film "Girgiriye", a bear-leading gypsy from the slums named Güllü (Gülşen Bubikoğlu) struggles to win back his sweetheart, Güllüye, who works for a pavilion runner in the city. However, Güllüye eventually feels a longing to return home and rebuffs her lover, Bayram (Müjdat Gezen), a pavilion runner. Meanwhile, Güllü's family relationships become entangled with those of another couple, leading to a series of events that ultimately bring about the union of Güllüye with someone else.
