Mermaids

In 1963 Massachusetts, a neurotic teenage girl named Charlotte Flax moves to a small town with her wayward mother and younger sister after ending an affair with her employer. As she navigates this new life, Charlotte finds herself drawn to the convent's caretaker, Joe Peretti, while her mother begins dating a local shopkeeper. The family must learn to accept each other for who they truly are as Charlotte grapples with her sexual awakening and identity.
