The film "Oi, Oi" (2025) is a drama that tells the life story of Katsushika Oi, daughter of renowned Japanese painter Hokusai, who was a trailblazing female artist in her own right during the Edo period. Masami Nagasawa stars as Katsushika Oi, while Masatoshi Nagase plays her father, Hokusai. The film is based on the memoirs of Inoda Junichiro and the manga "Hana to Yume" by Sugii Hajime, and brings to light the lesser-known life of Oi, who also worked as a ukiyo-e artist during her time.
