Masami Nagasawa is a Japanese actress born on June 3, 1987, who began her acting career at age twelve in the science fiction film Pyrokinesis (2000). She gained recognition for her leading role in Crying Out Love in the Center of the World (2004), winning two Japan Academy Film Prize awards and the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her notable roles include Princess Yuki in Hidden Fortress: The Last Princess (2008) and Umi Matsuzaki in From Up on Poppy Hill (2011).
