Reise der Hoffnung

In a remote village in eastern Turkey, Haydar Sener (Necmettin Çobanoglu) and his wife Meryem (Nur Sürer) decide to take a perilous journey to Switzerland, driven by dreams of a better life. Along with their seven children, including young Mehmet Ali (Emin Sivas), they face numerous obstacles, including treacherous terrain, harsh weather conditions, and encounters with ruthless smugglers. Their journey takes a devastating turn when Mehmet succumbs to hypothermia, leaving his family separated and Haydar in prison after being taken into custody by Swiss authorities.
