The Sting

In 1936, amidst the Great Depression, novice con man Johnny Hooker teams up with acknowledged master Henry Gondorff to pull off an ultimate big con and swindle a fortune from notorious mobster Doyle Lonnegan, seeking revenge for his friend's murder. The two professional grifters concoct an elaborate scheme involving a phony off-track betting parlor, posing as Chicago bookies, and out-cheating Lonnegan in a high-stakes poker game on the opulent 20th Century Limited train.
