In the remote South Korean village of Hope Harbor, police chief Bum-seok (Hwang Jung-min) and rookie officer Sung-ae (Hoyeon) must defend their community from a mysterious creature that wreaks havoc, leading to a tragedy of cosmic proportions. With reinforcements tied up fighting wildfires elsewhere, the unlikely duo teams up with retired colonel Ahn Nak-yeon to track down the creature. As they navigate the situation, Sung-ae saves Bum-seok using grenade launchers she has scavenged, and the two eventually team up with Yang-bae, an eccentric hunter, to stop the creature. The investigation leads them to discover that the creature is an intelligent, indestructible humanoid, and that a crashed spaceship in the forest holds the key to understanding the alien threat.
