Elvis Presley stars as Scott Hayward, who trades places with water-ski instructor Tom Wilson (also played by Will Hutchins) at a Florida hotel to see if girls will like him for himself rather than his father's wealth. Shelley Fabares plays his love interest Dianne Carter, while Bill Bixby plays her rival James J. Jamison III.
