The One and Only

Henry Winkler plays Andy Schmidt, a conceited young man who becomes infatuated with Mary Crawford (Kim Darby) and proposes marriage, leading her to abandon college and join him in New York City. As his plans for stardom fail, Andy resorts to professional wrestling, adopting the persona of "The Lover" to gain popularity. Despite struggling financially, Andy's ego remains intact, but his relationship with Mary is put to the test as she supports them through thin times.
