The Cove

The Cove tells the true story of how a team of individuals, filmmakers, and free divers embarked on a covert mission to expose the hidden cove in Japan where 23,000 dolphins are killed every year. The film follows former-dolphin-trainer-turned-activist Ric O'Barry's quest to document the dolphin hunting operations in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan, and features footage shot secretly using high-definition cameras disguised as rocks. The crew faces hostility from locals and authorities while attempting to capture video evidence of the atrocity.
