The Road to El Dorado

In 1519 Spain, con-artists Tulio and Miguel win gold and a map to the legendary City of Gold, El Dorado, in a rigged dice gamble against some sailors. After their con is exposed, they accidentally stow away on one of the ships led by conquistador Hernán Cortés for the New World. Their boat reaches land, where they are mistaken for gods by the inhabitants, leading them to the fabled city. Mistaken identities lead to a series of humorous and action-packed misadventures as Tulio and Miguel navigate the city's politics and relationships with its inhabitants, ultimately forcing them to confront the consequences of their own deception and decide whether to stay or leave forever.
