Never So Few

In Burma, 1943, Capt. Tom Reynolds (Frank Sinatra) leads a band of Kachin guerrillas in their fight against the Japanese army and warlord-controlled Chinese troops. The US military troop is aided by a native Kachin leader and receives support from the OSS (Office of Strategic Services). As tensions rise, Capt. Reynolds discovers evidence of renegade Chinese forces killing American soldiers, leading to a confrontation with his superiors and a pursuit that puts him at odds with the Chungking government. In the end, Capt. Reynolds' actions are vindicated when he encounters an angry, vindictive officer from Washington who is moved by the sight of crates containing American dog tags found at the renegade camp.
