Francis Albert Sinatra was an American singer and actor, regarded as one of the most influential entertainers of the 20th century, nicknamed the "Chairman of the Board" and "Ol' Blue Eyes." Born to Italian immigrants in Hoboken, New Jersey, Sinatra began his musical career in the swing era before becoming a successful solo artist in the early to mid-1940s. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and went on to have a storied film and music career, earning numerous accolades including an Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
