It Happened in Brooklyn

Frank Sinatra stars as Danny, a returning soldier from four years in the army who can't shake his love for Brooklyn. When he lands a job singing at a music store and meets a talented pianist Leo (Peter Lawford), Anne Fielding (Kathryn Grayson), a young opera singer with big dreams, and Jamie Shellgrove (Peter Lawford), a shy heir to a dukedom, the four form an unlikely bond. As they navigate their passions and aspirations, Danny finds himself torn between his old flame - a beautiful nurse he met during his leave - and a new appreciation for the Brooklyn life that's found him again.
