In this charming 1960 musical comedy, Frank Sinatra stars as François Durnais, a shyster lawyer who becomes infatuated with Shirley MacLaine's Simone Pistache, proprietor of the infamous Parisian nightclub Bal du Paradis. When a self-righteous judge (Maurice Chevalier) tries to shut down the club, Philippe Forrestier (Louis Jourdan), another judge, finds himself falling for Simone's charms, leading to a hilarious love triangle. As the story unfolds, Simone gets her revenge by outsmarting her lawyer boyfriend and ultimately winning the heart of her adversary, in a delightful tale of cabaret, dance, and romance set against the vibrant backdrop of 19th-century Paris.
