In this offbeat comedy-drama, Cobie Smulders stars as Joanne Skye, a former rock star who leaves her indie band to pursue a new path – literally and figuratively, as she enrolls in university's marine biology program amidst a chaotic personal and professional life. With an improvised script and shot in just five days, "Alright Now" is a refreshingly raw and humorous exploration of second chances, self-discovery, and finding one's passion again, all set against the backdrop of student life and music scene revival.
