Cobie Smulders is a Canadian actress known for her starring role as Robin Scherbatsky in the CBS series How I Met Your Mother and as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with The Avengers (2012). Her notable stage credits include her off-Broadway debut in Love, Loss, and What I Wore (2010) and her Broadway debut in Present Laughter (2017), for which she earned a Theatre World Award.
