Juliet of the Spirits

Middle-aged Giulietta Boldrini (Giulietta Masina) grows suspicious of her husband Giorgio's behavior and turns to mysticism after a seance, guided by Suzy/Iris/Fanny (Sandra Milo), who helps Giulietta gain self-awareness and independence. With the help of a mystic, Giulietta uncovers her painful past and finally finds the strength to leave her philandering husband. The film uses vibrant colors and fantastical elements to represent Giulietta's psychic landscape.
