Passion Play

An angel under the thumb of a ruthless gangster is saved by a trumpet player down on his luck. He awakens in a desert landscape after being mugged and bound, only to be spared by a group of Native Americans who kill his assailant instead. As he wanders through a carnival and sideshow, he meets an exotic beauty with wings on her back, Lily, who becomes entangled in a complex web of violence, deception, and redemption. In the end, Nate's gentle giant nature is revealed to be more than just a myth, as he and Lily take flight into the desert sky together.
