Timothy Bottoms stars as Dwight Worker in this drama based on his true story, where he is caught smuggling drugs in Mexico and sentenced to Lecumberri Prison. With the help of his wife, Barbara (Kay Lenz), he devises a plan to disguise himself as a woman and escape the prison's brutal conditions. Colleen Dewhurst plays Lily Levinson, who visits Dwight during his imprisonment.
