Secret Service agents Tris Stewart (Lloyd Bridges) and Johnny Hackett (John Hoyt) make a deal with a counterfeiting inmate to help recover counterfeit bills, but Stewart plans to double-cross them. As Stewart rejoins his girlfriend Meg Dixon (Barbara Payton) and old gang, he proposes a new scheme. Meanwhile, undercover agent Hackett is trying to close the case by buying plates from Jack Sylvester, who inadvertently leads him to the counterfeiting operation's location, where a chase ensues resulting in Sylvester's electrocution.
