In this lesser-known historical drama, Paulette Goddard stars as Lucrezia Borgia in a tale of revenge, love, and deception set against the backdrop of 15th-century Italy. Based on real-life events, the film follows Lucrezia's marriage to Duke Alfonso I d'Este of Ferrara, with whom she initially plots to kill him, only to fall in love with her intended victim. As tensions rise between Lucrezia and her brother Cesare Borgia, who seeks to conquer Venice through Ferrara, the couple must navigate a web of intrigue and betrayal.
