Mariel Hemingway is a renowned American actress and mental health activist, born on November 22, 1961. She made her film debut at 14 in Lipstick (1976) and went on to receive an Academy Award nomination for her supporting role in Woody Allen's Manhattan (1979). A leading actress in the 1980s, Hemingway slowed down her career to focus on mental health awareness, producing and starring in the acclaimed documentary Running from Crazy (2013), which earned her a humanitarian award.
